Bloody Family is personal and volatile adaptation of the ancient Greek tragedy The Oresteia. It is an experimental work that contrasts compassion with necessity, and examines the birth and failure of Justice.”

Dr. Heather Weir, a psychoanalyst at the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society will lead the discussion to examine the themes of the murderous unconscious in relation to oedipal struggles of impotence and power, as well as exploring why we destroy the other in order to save the self.
