Support Us

Good mental health is vital to all of us in order to live satisfying and productive lives. Mental health professionals play a critical role in the attainment and maintenance of mental health for many in our community, across all ages and who face differing challenges according to their stage in life.

The mission of the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society in providing training in psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy for mental health professionals is supplemented by other educational programs. These programs aim at updating and supporting practicing professionals in their efforts to enhance their therapeutic skills in the service of their patients. In addition, many of the programs offered by the TPS are open to members of the public who may be interested in exploring a psychoanalytic perspective on a variety of subjects relevant to broad social, political, philosophical or religious concerns.

To ensure that these training and scientific programs are readily accessible to both professionals and the public, fees charged for such programs are kept as affordable as possible. But these fees are not enough to support our valued contributions to the mental health community in Toronto. The Toronto Psychoanalytic Society relies on donors to maintain the highest standards of professional training, the quality of its educational programming, and the integrity of its modest facility in Toronto.

The TPS expresses its gratitude to its friends and supporters who donate in support of the important mission of the advancement of psychoanalysis, psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalytic thought in Toronto and Southern Ontario.

If you would like to make a tax-deductible charitable donation, you may send your cheque made out to CPS Trust (with a notation that the donation is for the TPS) directly to the Canadian Psychoanalytic Society at 7000 Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, QC, H3S 2C1 or contact the TPS at 416-922-7770 or info@torontopsychoanalysis.com. If desired, you may specify your donation to the library, educational programs, outreach programs, psychotherapy training, or general. Unspecified gifts will be used where the need is greatest.
