Our Training Programs
In keeping with the mission of the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society and Institute, the members offer two training programs for people who wish to acquire and/or enhance their skills in psychoanalytic therapy or in becoming a fully-trained psychoanalyst. Both programs have three distinct aspects to their training: teaching of theory and clinical application in seminar format; personal therapy or analysis; supervision of the therapy of a specified number of clinical cases of the trainee’s own practice.
Our Study Program
The ‘Fundamentals’ course is an educational tool for people interested in understanding more about psychoanalysis and does not include clinical training, i.e. no supervision or personal therapy is required.
